About Daniel Downs

      I have been professionally photographing people and events for the past 5 years. Please visit my website http://www.danieldowns.com to view my complete galleries and pricelist.  I hold a Bachelors degree in Fine Art from Tufts University and the School Of The Museum Of Fine Arts,Boston,Massachusetts. In May of 2007 I graduated with a Masters Degree in Education focused on Arts & Learning at Endicott College in Beverly Massachusetts.
     My teaching experience ranges through all ages and multiple photographic and visual art forms. Some of the schools I have taught at are the Essex Art Center Lawrence,Massachusetts, Exeter Center for Creative Arts Exeter,New Hampshire,  Marshwood Adult Education Eliot,Maine, Haverhill Public Schools(K-12).
     I am currently the Graphic Design and Photography  teacher at Haverhill High School. I spent a year working as the Adaptive Art Specialist for children with special needs in the Haverhill Public Schools. Within this position I provided art classes for students with learning disabilities ranging from autism of all levels,aspergers syndrome and students with multiple disabilities. In my galleries on this site I provide images of some of the projects that we have accomplished. Many of them are sensory based.
     I greatly enjoy photographing weddings,events and teaching children and adults digital photography techniques. I also enjoy teaching more traditional classes such as portrait drawing and oil painting.
