Hiring A Wedding Photographer?
- Hire a photographer who is flexible with different styles of photography. You may be a fan of a photojournalistic style but there may be some situations during your wedding day that you may want more formal poses. It will be important that your photographer can adjust.
- Have a solid plan! Meet with your photographer and map out the days events. Have a schedule of when and where you will meet and what the expectations for each situation is. This will help your photographer use his time and equipment wisely. It will ultimately end up giving you the best photos possible.
- Let your photographer know about specific shots and family portraits you would like captured. This will enable you and your photographer to plan around getting these people together.
- Allow a solid amount of time for your formal photography. This very important because giving your photographer an extra 20-30 minutes for your formal location shots can give him or her an opportunity to be creative. As a photographer it is a priority to meet the expectations of the bride but some flexibility can give amazing results.
- Understand the extent of your package. How many hours are covered with your plan? What is included? What add-ons are available? This not only helps you choose a cost effective wedding photographer but also gives insight into what possible products are available.
